Sachin Tendulkar has invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi to attend the marriage ceremony of his son Arjun with Saaniya Chandok.

“We were honoured to ask Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji to Arjun and Saaniya’s wedding. Thanks, Modi ji, in your blessings and thoughtful advice for the young couple,” Sachin posted on social media.

Sachin Tendulkar also invited Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi.

“Our family had the chance to fulfill Shri Rahul Gandhi ji and invite him to Arjun-Saaniya’s wedding,” he posted.

Sachin Tendulkar also prolonged a marriage invitation to President Droupadi Murmu.

“Last February, Hon’ble President Smt. Droupadi Murmu ji graciously hosted us at Rashtrapati Bhavan. We relived a few of those cherished memories after we met the President today to ask her to Arjun and Saaniya’s wedding. Thanks in your warm wishes, Hon’ble President,” Sachin Tendulkar posted.

Arjun Tendulkar is ready to marry Saaniya Chandok later this 12 months — the marriage festivities will begin on March 3 and the wedding shall be an intimate affair attended by close relations and friends on March 5.

Arjun, a 26-year-old left-arm pacer, got engaged to Chandok, the granddaughter of businessman Ravi Ghai, in August last 12 months.

Who Is Saaniya Chandok?

Saaniya Chandok comes from one among Mumbai’s wealthiest families and serves as a Designated Partner and Director at Mr. Paws Pet Spa & Store LLP. The Ghai family has a major presence within the hospitality and food industries, owning the InterContinental hotel and the favored ice cream brand, Brooklyn Creamery.

Arjun joined the Mumbai Indians in 2021 at his base price of Rs 20 Lakhs but missed the season as a consequence of injury. The franchise retained faith in him, bringing him back for Rs 30 Lakhs within the 2022 auction, and he made his IPL debut in 2023 against Kolkata Knight Riders. He has played 5 matches within the IPL, taking 3 wickets. Nonetheless, his opportunities were limited the next 12 months, as he featured in only one game without success.

In domestic cricket, Arjun represents Goa and has taken 48 wickets in 22 First-Class matches, together with scoring 620 runs. He also has 25 wickets and 155 runs in 23 List A games. This move also saw veteran Indian seamer Mohammed Shami joining LSG, because the team goals to bolster its bowling unit.
