Quinton Aaron couldn’t move and was “shaking uncontrollably” when his “spiritual wife” called 911 for help ahead of his hospitalization last month.
Within the 911 call obtained exclusively by Us Weekly, Margarita — who is just not identified within the audio but confirms with Us she made the emergency call for firefighters and paramedics — detailed the frightening moments that led to The Blind Side actor being rushed to the hospital where he was placed on life support.
“My husband is six-foot-eight, 370 kilos. He’s laying on the ground, and he’s shaking,” Margarita, who is just not legally married to the star, told the 911 operator. “His upper body is shaking uncontrollably, and he can’t feel his legs.”
Margarita held her composure, calmly telling the operator, “He has no mobility. He’s telling me he can’t move. And he’s literally laying on the ground, like he’s dead weight. I’m gonna need some help.”
She then informed the 911 operator that Quinton’s “body locked up on him and his jaw and his eyes rolled back just somewhat bit.” She said he told her, “’I can’t move, can’t move,’” as she shared, “He could barely talk.”
“He said it looks like his throat is closing up on him,” she told the operator.
When asked whether he may be having an allergic response, Margarita informed the 911 operator that Quinton, 41, hadn’t been drinking or eating much and noted, “He’s missed dinner all this week” resulting from his back pain.
Based on her, Quinton had been taking an anti-inflammatory for the pain, nevertheless it wasn’t helping.
“I haven’t been asleep for like three days because we’ve been dealing together with his back pain for a couple of days, and today, it just took a toll for the more serious,” she said on the decision.
While waiting for help to reach, Margarita addressed Quinton directly.
“I’m gonna put socks on you, but I don’t know if I can since you keep jerking. I’m attempting to get all this done, Quinton,” she told him.
After the decision was made, the actor was placed on life support at an Atlanta hospital. His family later shared he had suffered a “spinal stroke.”
Sources near Quinton’s family members exclusively told Us last week that Margarita had been “banned” from his hospital room while they investigate their suspicions of her further. (On February 3, his relatives publicly questioned the legitimacy of the pair’s marriage and accused Margarita of not being a registered nurse, in addition to being married to someone aside from Quinton.)
“We’re spiritually married. We’re tied as one,” she confirmed to Us following their allegations.
When asked about her hospital ban, Margarita responded, “I’m OK with it, I’m at peace with this. Quinton and I pray so much and imagine in God and imagine in the next power. I can feel his presence telling me it will work itself out.”
Days later, Quinton’s family gave a positive health update ahead of the Super Bowl.
“Quinton is in a jovial mood, now laughing and smiling and is communicating to one of the best of his ability while he continues to get better,” his family members said in a press release on February 6. “He’s watching TV and on the brink of root for his favorite team this weekend.”
Quinton is best known for his portrayal of former NFL offensive lineman Michael Oher in The Blind Side. Tim McGraw, Lily Collins and Sandra Bullock also starred within the 2009 film.
