Tom Aspinall continues to maintain his fans updated during his UFC 321 recovery journey.

The UFC heavyweight champion was injured during a title defense against Ciryl Gane in October.

A double eye poke left Tom Aspinall unable to see before the fight was ruled a no-contest.

Three months later, the British fan favorite continues to be feeling the consequences of Gane’s egregious foul.

Tom Aspinall underwent a double eye surgery ahead of UFC comeback on Tuesday.

24 hours later, the 32-year-old shared a photograph of his eyes looking badly bloodshot.

“Someday post surgery,” Aspinall captioned the image he posted on his Instagram story.

Aspinall added a crying laughing emoji to point out he stays in good spirits despite their profession setback.

The Englishman also added spooky music and GIFs to go alongside his Halloween-style latest look.

What’s next for Tom Aspinall?

Tom Aspinall still faces an arduous journey to get back to fighting for MMA’s premier promotion.

“After his highly publicised eye poke injury, Optegra’s expert team is proud to have supported MMA fighter and UFC Heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall,” the UFC superstar’s doctors said in an announcement confirming his recent surgery.

“Over recent months, we’ve been working closely with him on his recovery.

“Following his operation on each eyes, we proceed the journey to get Tom’s vision back to fighting fitness.”

All being well, Aspinall will hopefully rematch Ciryl Gane at a large UFC event later this 12 months.
