Sparkle has called out her niece, Reshona Landfair, for her “false statements” and said she never instructed Landfair to take a seat on R. Kelly‘s lap when she was a baby.

Sparkle Calls Out Niece Reshona Landfair For “False Statements” – Says She Never Told Her To Sit On R. Kelly’s Lap
Earlier this week, Instagram user @livebitez shared footage from what appears to be a recent livestream of Sparkle’s. Within the clip, the singer told viewers, “… Not all that you just heard yesterday from my niece is true.” To notice, Sparkle gave the impression to be referencing Landfair’s recent sitdown with CBS News.
“I don’t wish to hinder this legal process — I don’t. But to testify that I had my niece sit on Robert’s lap and rub his head, and have her ask him to be her godfather is an absolute f*****g lie,” she continued. “You all cannot imagine the hurt that comes from pain brought on by the those that you reside and are willing to die for.”
From there, Sparkle addressed “one other lie,” and stated that she and R. Kelly “were never in a romantic relationship.”
“To indicate you that sabotage is a high priority inside them — if Robert and I were in a romantic relationship, you and your mom were cool with you starting a relationship with him?” Sparkle asked, referencing Landfair and her mother.
Ultimately, Sparkle shared that she began her defense of Reshona Landfair with “the best of intention.” But all she’s received in return is hell. Moreover, she noted that Landfair’s “false statements” don’t “trouble” her because she’s used to her words falling on deaf ears. Nonetheless, she’s alarmed by Landfair’s willingness to lie.
“I’m certain it’s from her mom,” Sparkle said. “… But she’s now sufficiently old to start out bearing some level of responsibility of her actions. I really like her greater than life itself, so that is all I’m going to say regarding her and her mother — unless I even have to.”

This reportedly began the cycle of Kelly inappropriately touching her and them filming an NSFW tape when she was only 14 years old. Years later, the tape would flow into nationwide.
On the time, Sparkle reacted to her niece’s sitdown by saying that she supports Landfair but hopes “accountability” will come from those “closest to her.”
