Arman Tsarukyan called out by UFC BJJ champion who took issue with potential Tom Hardy clash

Arman Tsarukyan may not have a UFC fight booked but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been energetic.

The #2-ranked lightweight contender has recently been appearing here, there, and in all places during a media tour that saw him pop up in some unexpected places.

He’s also been competing, with Tsarukyan’s dominant win over Lance Palmer at Real American Freestyle earning him his first victory of the yr.

Tsarukyan is comfortable calling out potential opponents that he could face outside of the Octagon.

On Thursday night, he was on the receiving end of a suggestion to return and compete against among the finest on the planet.

Mikey Musumeci desires to face Arman Tsarukyan after he called out Tom Hardy

Tom Hardy turned down a grappling match with Arman Tsarukyan resulting from his filming commitments that can fill his schedule until March.

Hype FC shared screenshots of their communications with the Hollywood star, who was recently awarded his brown belt in jiu-jitsu.

Muhammed Mokaev may claim to have been offered a matchup with Mikey Musumeci however the UFC BJJ champion has one other opponent in mind.

‘Darth Rigatoni’ successfully defended his bantamweight title on Thursday night by submitting Shay Montague within the second round.

In a post-match interview with UFC News, Musumeci said that he really desires to grapple, but not fight, Tsarukyan.

“He’s incredible but he called out my friend Tom Hardy in a grappling match and my friend Tom Hardy is an actor… I just don’t like that he did that,” he said at UFC BJJ 5. “He could grapple a grappler. I’m lighter than him so I’ll just go up and face him. That might be a extremely fun match for everybody… Send me location.”

Tsarukyan has spoken concerning the prospect of him facing off with Hardy, though it doesn’t appear that he called him out.

Arman Tsarukyan was asked how close he got here to facing Tom Hardy

Arman Tsarukyan went to a draw with Shara Magomedov in a matchup that might’ve seen him face off with Tom Hardy as a substitute.

The screenshots shared by Hype FC showed that Hardy was very grateful for the offer but simply couldn’t commit to anything resulting from his schedule.

In an interview with Helen Yee Sports, Tsarukyan confirmed that he had been told about these talks and didn’t rule out the prospect of it happening in the long run.

“Yeah, I got that supply, but he couldn’t come because he was filming something. I don’t know, he’s filming, he’s busy. So it didn’t occur, but possibly in the long run – why not? I’m down for everyone, for giant names.”
