Eddie Hearn believes Dana White is disrespecting boxing by launching Zuffa Boxing belt

Eddie Hearn and Dana White’s relationship continues to crumble following White’s move into boxing.

As soon because the UFC boss announced his longterm move into the game of boxing, the Matchroom promoter made it known that he was cautious of the enterprise.

That got here as somewhat of a surprise considering the proven fact that Eddie Hearn and Dana White historically have had a very good relationship.

And after the Zuffa Boxing boss recently announced the primary title fight to happen under the Zuffa banner, Hearn has criticized the character of it.

Earlier this week, White announced that his marquee signing, Jai Opetaia will headline Zuffa Boxing 4, taking up Brandon Glanton with the Ring Magazine and IBF world cruiserweight titles being on the road.

But along with the world titles, the primary Zuffa Boxing title may also be on the road, with the promotion going ahead with their plan to crown one champion per division.

This, though, doesn’t sit well with Hearn, who has questioned the choice to have a Zuffa Boxing title as a part of the promotion.

“Do you think that I might disrespect boxing that much where I might bring out the Matchroom Boxing world championship?” Hearn said in an interview with IFL TV.

“My ego is uncontrolled, but that’s beyond anything I could ever fathom,” the longtime promoter continued.

The 46-year-old went on to assert that Zuffa are disrespecting the history of boxing by going against the sanctioning bodies which have stood in place for the reason that starting of the game.

Eddie Hearn and Dana White could find yourself working together in the long run

Despite the continuing feud between White and Hearn, the 2 could find themselves working together on an event within the near future.

Although White’s current plan is to construct the names of young fighters, there isn’t a doubt he’s hoping to placed on big fights with Zuffa Boxing, and which will mean he must be open to collaboration with other promoters in the game.
