Tom Aspinall’s relationship with the game he’s dedicated himself to has modified in recent months.
Aspinall recently had double-eye surgery to try to heal the consequences of his first defense of the undisputed UFC heavyweight title.
It has been nearly 4 months since his long-awaited return to the Octagon led to disaster on account of him not having the ability to proceed.
While some were critical of the champion for not having the ability to proceed at UFC 321, the impacts that the attention pokes he was on the receiving end of have had on Aspinall’s life are stunning.
The Brit should still have love for the game but this experience has clearly impacted the way in which that he views a key aspect of being knowledgeable fighter.

Between taking an interim title fight on short notice and being messed around by Jon Jones, it looked like Tom Aspinall had won lots of favor with the UFC before last October.

Aspinall can have been advised to not fight with White and the UFC but his recent comments to Uncrowned’s Peter Carroll about where he’s at along with his profession suggest that the damage can have already been done.
“I like martial arts,” he says. “I absolutely find it irresistible. I’ll never stop loving it, but I just hate the business. I feel that fighters are only completely replaceable and the business will make you are feeling like that any probability it gets. Even should you get hit with an illegal move, which could affect the remainder of your life, they don’t really give a s—. And nobody else does either.”

Tom Aspinall has still shown clear motivation to return and compete within the UFC again
Tom Aspinall’s comments about his relationship with the game aren’t suggesting that he won’t fight again if he’s in a position to.
The Brit has consistently said that he’s not even serious about competition at the moment, though there’s a priority that this modification might lead him to walk away before he can have originally planned.
That being said, Peter Carroll wrote about several ways in which Aspinall has tried to hurry up his recovery process in his piece for Uncrowned.
Together with selecting to have each of his eyes treated at the identical time, the champion attempted to have his teammate hold pads for him six weeks ago.
Unfortunately, this was a step too far at the moment, along with his vision issues making it difficult for him to hit moving targets.
