Liverpool star Dominik Szoboszlai harbours dreams of moving to Spain to play for Real Madrid, in accordance with his national team head coach Marco Rossi.
Szoboszlai joined Liverpool from RB Leipzig for £60million in 2023, and has gone on to change into a significant player under each Jurgen Klopp and Arne Slot.
The Hungarian midfielder was instrumental within the Reds’ Premier League triumph last season, and has been considered one of the few Liverpool players to impress in what has been a tricky campaign for the defending champions.
Szoboszlai is under contract at Anfield until 2028, but his long-term future at Liverpool has come under doubt after Hungarian head coach Rossi said the 25-year-old has a lifelong dream to play for Los Blancos.
‘Dominic is currently top-of-the-line players within the ranks of Liverpool and the Premier League, due to his outstanding form, where he has developed so much and clearly,’ Rossi told Qatari outlet Winwin.
‘He’s currently top-of-the-line players in Europe and the world, and it’s natural that there are clubs that will probably be focused on signing him.
‘From what I actually have heard and what I do know, and due to superb and direct relationship I actually have had with Dominic since he began playing football as a baby, Real Madrid was his dream.

‘Dominic, ever since he began playing football, has had one dream, which is to play for Real Madrid.’
Rossi, though, also said he wouldn’t be surprised to see Szoboszlai extend his stay at Liverpool, such is his importance and form in Slot’s side at present
‘He’s currently playing for Liverpool they usually’re a giant team within the Premier League,’ he added. ‘I don’t know if he can take that step, since it will depend on his personal decision, in addition to his club’s decision.
‘The concept that is at all times in your mind is to realize your dream and make that dream a reality, and for my part, that’s the only thing, and crucial thing, that may dominate Szoboszlai’s considering.

‘But however, I don’t rule out the likelihood that he’ll stay at Liverpool and renew his contract there, especially since he is extremely regarded throughout the club.
‘He’s an important player for Liverpool, and Liverpool is considered one of the most important clubs on the earth.’
Szoboszlai, meanwhile, doesn’t seem like publicly angling for a move away from Anfield, and as an alternative recently expressed his desire to commit his long-term future to Liverpool.
‘I might like to,’ he told reporters earlier this month when asked about the potential of signing a brand new deal at Liverpool.
‘I like town, I just like the club, I like fidgeting with these guys, I like Anfield, I like the fans, let’s see what the long run holds. Let’s see what happens, hopefully everyone will probably be completely satisfied at the top.’
The midfield also suggested that talks had begun over a brand new deal, but nothing had been agreed.
‘It’s not in my hands,’ he added. ‘There is no such thing as a progression but when the correct offer comes then let’s see.’
