Initially rumoured to release on February 20, Jana Nayagan has now faced yet one more postponement. The brand new release date is ready for after April 30. On Saturday, distributors stated X (formerly Twitter), informing audiences of the delay. They urged them to request refunds in light of the revised schedule.
Jana Nayagan CBFC Issue
The controversy surrounding Jana Nayagan began after the filmmakers submitted it to the CBFC on December 18, 2025. The Examining Committee suggested a number of minor cuts, which the team promptly made. By December 22, the film was really useful for a UA certificate resulting from motion sequences, gory visuals, and transient religious references. Nonetheless, the method didn’t end there. Despite fulfilling all requirements, the film was sent to the Revising Committee on January 5 following a grievance about certain portrayals. With the discharge timeline now impacted, the producers approached the High Court on January 6, looking for urgent certification.
