The UFC boss has never been a fan of discussing crossovers between UFC fighters and boxers.
This past Sunday, UFC and Zuffa Boxing boss was back within the Meta Apex for Zuffa Boxing’s third event, headlined by heavyweights Efe Ajagba and Charles Martin.
Following the event, the outspoken promoter was backstage, answering multiple questions from the media, starting from his short time in boxing to the UFC’s upcoming one-of-a-kind event on the White House.
In addition to that, Dana White also gave his response to the recent online beef between former boxing king Terence Crawford and UFC welterweight contender, Joaquin Buckley.
White was shocked to listen to of the meat between Crawford and Buckley
Last week, ‘Recent Mansa’ Buckley went on a rant, claiming that MMA is way more exciting than boxing after undefeated boxer Shakur Stevenson took successful at the extent of boxing in MMA.
‘Bud’ Crawford responded to Buckley’s rant calling him ‘clueless’ after the UFC fighter claimed he could ‘kill’ Stevenson in a street fight.
That led to Buckley offering to spar Crawford as he named a location and a date for them to settle their recently sparked feud.
Despite their feud having taken over the world of combat sports during the last week, White had no idea of what had happened between the 2 when he was asked about it at after the Zuffa Boxing event on Sunday.
“Terence Crawford and who? UFC Buckley? Boxing?” White questioned when he was asked in regards to the feud.
“Are we still talking about this s—? Well, I didn’t know anything about it and I’m not thrilled that you just told me about it, yeah, everyone knows how I feel about that.
“Crawford and Buckley boxing or Crawford who just made f—— $55 million is gonna go street fight Buckley?
“You win the dumbest query of the night award, congratulations, sir,” White said to the reporter.
Dana White has never been a fan of MMA vs Boxing debate
Although White’s response can have seemed abrupt, the 56-year-old has never been a fan of debates centring around MMA vs boxing.
