Dipendra Singh Airee played an unbeaten knock of fifty runs from 23 balls on Tuesday (February 17) to assist Nepal chase down the goal of 171 runs in 19.2 overs and secure a memorable win by 7 wickets over Scotland. During his stay on the crease for the Rohit Paudel-led side of their last Group C match of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, Airee slammed 4 fours and three sixes. He added 73 runs from just 36 balls for the fourth wicket with Gulsan Jha (24 runs from 17 balls) to assist Nepal secure only their third win in ICC Men’s T20 World Cup history and first for the reason that 2014 edition.
For his super show with the bat, Airee won the Player Of The Match award, and his 50-run knock with the bat also helped him turn into the primary Nepali batter to attain multiple half-centuries within the T20 World Cup.
