Kunwar Amarjeet Singh On Exploring Roles Beyond His Dance Identity
Kunwar Amarjeet Singh, known for his versatile performance in ‘Dil Dosti Dance’, when asked about transitioning from his dance background to an intense role, said, “I believe as an actor, that is what you’re searching for, what you’re craving for, ki aapne ek tarah ka kaam kar liya hai, aur ab aap kuch aur bhi karna chahte hain. And the character itself and the story itself were enough for me to say yes. Kyuki foremost bhi aisa kuch kaam karna chah raha tha jahan pe dance ka angle na ho. Mere mostly har kaam mein kahin na kahin, ya backstory mein ya kisi na kisi form mein dance ka angle raha hai. I desired to do something that is totally out of the box from this league.”
The actor further added, “Aur jab maine Shaurya ka character padha, jitna woh complex hai, par at the identical time uske desires kaise hain, kaise woh apne morals ke beech mein fasa hua hai, apne pyaar mein fasa hua hai, past mein fasa hua hai, is khoobsurat aurat ke saath fasa hua hai, toh woh sab mere liye bahut interesting tha.”
Kunwar concluded, “I’m very blissful to be very honest, to get this show and get this character because as an actor I need to play different shades. I need to explore more sides of myself and more stories. Toh mere liye yeh kahaani aur yeh kirdaar jaise likha gaya hai, usko padhne ke baad hi maine determine kar liya tha ki haan, yeh foremost karna chahta hoon.”
