Ronda Rousey believes that a rising tide will lift all boats as she prepares to return to motion on a brand new rival promotion to the UFC.
The legendary former bantamweight champion hasn’t fought since 2016, but stays one in all the most important stars in combat sports. And on May 16 on the Intuit Dome in California, she is going to tackle Gina Carano in a dream fight that Dana White has now missed out on not once, but twice.
While White is normally dismissive of competitors in the game, he hasn’t faced a legitimate contender with a global broadcast deal like Most Priceless Promotions before. Netflix will carry the fight, cutting out pay-per-view while having the ability to pay massive names like Rousey and Carano.

Ronda Rousey believes UFC will improve now it has legitimate competition
For years, the UFC has been so synonymous with the game of MMA that fans often confuse the 2 acronyms. Since Ronda Rousey last fought, the promotion has even paid out a $375 million settlement in a greater than a decade-long class motion lawsuit.
There have been other shows which have made a push to compete, but generally fall short by landing as a distant number two. Nevertheless, each women seem confident that they’ll break records and have one in all the most important fights of all time given their collective reach and Netflix’s 325 million paid subscribers.
“I feel just like the story and the whole lot behind it just isn’t just this fight, but lots of it’s MVP vs. the UFC,” Rousey told promoter Nakisa Bidarian – who’s hosting the bout together with Jake Paul for Most Priceless Promotions.
“And that’s where I’m going to f—ing go real hard within the trenches. We’re helping them because they’re affected by an absence of competition and so they can’t just have a category motion lawsuit every couple of years as the price of doing business.”
