Sean Strickland’s coach shared his response to his fighter’s post-fight press conference being cut short.
Unsurprisingly, the previous UFC middleweight champion had lots to say after returning to the win column this past weekend.
Strickland called out Khamzat Chimaev to start out conversations around whether this ought to be the division’s next title fight.
His comments didn’t stop at the present titleholder, with Strickland also apologizing to Anthony Hernandez’s daughter, amongst other statements.
The American’s coach wasn’t necessarily surprised to see UFC staff enter the post-fight press conference and call things off before the principal event winner was finished talking.

Eric Nicksick only discovered about Sean Strickland’s press conference after it happened
Sean Strickland’s mic was cut off during his post-fight press conference as UFC staff attempted to bring his conversations with the media to a detailed.
The previous champion still answered one other query without using a microphone before leaving his chair to tie a bow on UFC Houston.
Strickland’s coach, Eric Nicksick, also cornered Dan Ige on the identical night which meant that he wasn’t there to see this moment, though he wasn’t surprised by what he’d been told.
“I wasn’t in there,” he told Submission Radio. “I used to be within the locker room to see if I can check on Dan after which Dan had already left back to the home so I used to be by myself, man, I wasn’t around any of that stuff. So, I didn’t hear about it until later after which Oscar [Willis] actually flew next to me on the flight home so he was type of telling me a few of that stuff but I didn’t catch any of it, I wasn’t even around for any of that stuff.”
The Mac Life’s Oscar Willis was certainly one of the those who the American specifically spoke about during his press conference that, as is usually the case on Strickland’s fight weeks, touched on several controversial topics.
Nicksick isn’t any stranger to people asking him what he makes of his fighter’s public comments.
He joked that if anything, he’s surprised it took this long for somebody to take the microphone away from him while he’s holding court.
“It’s about time right? Any individual needed to hit the ‘wrap it up button’ on him… good times.”

Eric Nicksick won’t be surprised by the things that Sean Strickland says at this point but he did take issue with one a part of his fighter’s post-fight comments.
The previous champion has spoken lots about his previous training sessions with Khamzat Chimaev when talking a couple of potential matchup between them.
Strickland even said after UFC Houston that his coaches can back up his claims about ‘Borz’ because they were there to witness what went down.
“I feel what happens within the training room should stay within the training room,” Nicksick told Submission Radio when asked his opinion.
