Megan Thee Stallion will make her Broadway debut within the musical Moulin Rouge! this spring.
The three-time Grammy Award winning artist and actress will tackle the role of the nightclub impresario Zidler, previously known as Harold Zidler, for an eight-week run starting March 24, 2026 through May 17. The rating, made up of recent pop hits, may even include “a touch of music,” from Megan Thee Stallion’s catalogue, which incorporates songs resembling “Savage.”
She takes over the role of Zidler from Bob the Drag Queen. While that is her Broadway debut, Megan Thee Stallion has acted within the A24 film Dicks: The Musical.
“Stepping onto the Broadway stage and joining the Moulin Rouge! The Musical team is an absolute honor,” Megan Thee Stallion said. “I’ve all the time believed in pushing myself creatively and theater is unquestionably a brand new opportunity that I’m excited to embrace. Broadway demands a unique level of discipline, preparation and storytelling, but I’m up for the challenge and may’t wait for the Hotties to see a brand new side of me.”
Her casting comes as Moulin Rouge! nears the tip of its Broadway run, with the production set to play its final performance July 26. She is the primary female-identifying performer to tackle the role of Zidler, which was originated by Danny Burstein, who won a Tony Award for his portrayal.
