IPL 2026: Lucknow Super Giants Unveil Their Latest Logo

Lucknow Super Giants introduced a fresh logo ahead of the upcoming IPL season, presenting it as greater than just a visible update. The franchise described the symbol as a strong reflection of the bond between the team and the people of Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh.

Of their official communication, LSG stated that it “Carries the spirit of town, the state and fans who’ve stood by the franchise because the start by bringing three symbols together, that of ‘Garuda, the Crown and the Elephant’ with every one telling a deeply personal story about Uttar Pradesh.”

The announcement further emphasised the emotional depth behind the change. “Today, Lucknow Super Giants unveil a brand new logo. Not only a brand new design. Not only a brand new look. But a logo that carries the spirit of this city, this state, and each fan who has stood by the team from the very starting. This latest emblem brings together three powerful symbols, Garuda, the Crown, and the Elephant, each telling a story that feels deeply personal to Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh,” the statement read.

Meaning Behind The Three Symbols

The franchise elaborated on the deeper meaning embedded within the design. In accordance with LSG, “Garuda represents courage. The courage to rise, to tackle challenges, and to never back down. It reflects the fearless cricket the Super Giants strive to play and the idea that no dream is just too big whenever you rise together.”

The Crown, as explained by the franchise, symbolises honour and duty. “The Crown stands for pride and responsibility. Each time the team walks onto the sphere, it carries the hopes of thousands and thousands. The Crown is a reminder that wearing this jersey is an honour and that honour should be earned each day.”

On the centre of the symbol is the Elephant, which holds special cultural importance within the region. LSG stated, “At the guts of the emblem stands the Elephant. The Elephant represents strength, wisdom, patience, and unity. It reflects the regular support of the fans, the sort of loyalty that doesn’t waver with one result but stands strong season after season.”

Owner’s Emotional Tribute And Season Outlook

Sharing his thoughts, Shashwat Goenka, Owner of Lucknow Super Giants & Vice Chairman of RPSG Group, said, “This latest logo is deeply emotional for us. The people of Lucknow and Uttar Pradesh welcomed the Super Giants into their hearts from day one. This symbol is a tribute to that love and belief. Garuda reflects our dreams to rise higher. The Crown reflects the pride you place on us each time we take the sphere. And the Elephant reflects the strength and loyalty that defines this region.”

He concluded by saying, “This is just not only a change in identity. It’s a promise. A promise that we are going to honour this city, respect our roots, and compete with heart. Every run, every wicket, every moment will carry the emotion of our fans.”

Under the captaincy of Rishabh Pant, LSG finished seventh last season with six wins and eight defeats, collecting 12 points. For IPL 2026, the squad features players resembling Aiden Markram, Mitchell Marsh, Nicholas Pooran, Mohammed Shami, Wanindu Hasaranga and Anrich Nortje, because the franchise looks to show a brand new chapter each on and off the sphere.
