Ahead of his clash against Georgio Poullas at RAF06, Arman Tsarukyan has attempted to pay $5000 to skip the pre-fight weigh-in.
The UFC lightweight primary contender hasn’t competed under the UFC banner since this past November when he defeated Dan Hooker.
Despite his inactivity within the premier MMA promotion over the previous couple of years, ‘Ahalkalakets’ has been keeping himself lively in grappling and wrestling competition.
And that activity continues this Saturday when Arman Tsarukyan steps back onto the Real American Wrestling mats to tackle Georgio Poullas.
Tsarukyan offered Poullas $5000 to not need to weigh-in for wrestling match
During his time away from the Octagon, the Armenian has been doing every thing he can to grow his presence on social media.
And in an try and achieve this, Tsarukyan has found his area of interest to be eating an abundant amount of giant food which has seen him massively grow in popularity.
The difficulty with that’s that he’s currently nowhere near his current fight weight of 155lbs, and the truth is, he’s seemingly anxious that he will not be near the 185lb limit for his wrestling match.
“You wish $5000. I’ll get you $5000 and don’t even show my weight,” Tsarukyan told Poullas in a gathering backstage during their RAF06 press conference.
“$5000 to simply weigh in at whatever?” Poullas responded.
“I’ll get you $5000 and whatever my weight is now,” Tsarukyan said.
“How much do you weigh now?” Poullas asked.
“Who gives a f—? Bro, I’m maximum 178lbs,” Tsarukyan answered.
Despite Tsarukyan’s claim that he’s not more than 178lbs, their match is scheduled at middleweight, meaning he wouldn’t have to cut any weight to hit the limit.
Tsarukyan and Poullas make $10,000 bet ahead of match
The $5000 Tsarukyan was willing to offer to his opponent to not need to weigh in isn’t the one money the UFC star is splashing ahead of their match.
The truth is, Tsarukyan and Poullas have seemingly made a bet value $10,000 for his or her wrestling match, as Tsarukyan is convinced Poullas won’t give you the option to take him down.
“As of right away, me and Arman got here to an agreement of a bet value $10,000 on the match winner. I believe there could also be a bit more talking about betting through the press conference,” Poullas said on the pre-fight presser.
