Donal Bisht is popularly known for TV shows Ek Deewaana Tha, Roop – Mard Ka Naya Swaroop, and Dil Toh Completely satisfied Hai Ji. The actress recently opened up in regards to the casting of Television actors in Bollywood and other projects. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Donal said she has auditioned for each role of hers. She admitted that luck and constant efforts pave the way in which for getting work. Donal Bisht On TV Actors Label Stigma In Bollywood
When questioned about how TV actors are treated in Bollywood and the stigma of being labelled as TV artists, Donal Bisht said, “Mujhe toh pehle lagta tha ki foremost TV mein itne saare achhe-achhe shows karke baithi hoon. Maine socha tha, ‘Life shall be very easy now. Most important known hoon, ab toh movies aaram se mil jaayengi.’ Aapko phone bhi aarahe hote hain, toh lagta hai sab smooth hoga. But nahi, aisa nahi hota. Film industry ek alag hi ball game hai.“
She added, “Aur yahan kismat bhi bahut matter karti hai. Mehnat toh aapko 200% karni hi padti hai, usmein koi compromise nahi ho sakta. Aapko achha actor hona hi hona hai. Lekin woh jo 200% effort hai na, I believe woh shayad poori journey ka sirf 30–40% hota hai. Baaki 60–70% is your luck. Kabhi-kabhi bas right place pe right time hona bhi bahut matter karta hai. You never know. Bahut saari cheezein hoti hain.”
Donal On Casting For Projects
Donal said, “Casting ko leke maine yeh samjha hai ki normally casting directors ke paas foremost leads ki casting nahi hoti. Most important toh hamesha auditions dekar hi select hui hoon, chahe TV ho ya koi aur project. Maine hamesha auditions diye hain aur select hui hoon. Toh mujhe lagta tha process wahi hota hai, auditions do aur select ho jao. But movies mein jab itna paisa laga hota hai, especially foremost leads par, toh woh decisions kaafi internal hote hain. Often, foremost leads pehle hi lock ho jaate hain. Uske baad casting directors primary ya secondary characters solid karte hain. Haan, kuch movies mein foremost leads bhi auditions ke through solid hote hain. Jaise Aamir Khan Productions mein foremost lead casting bhi auditions ke through hoti hai.”
