Joe Rogan believes Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao 2 is fuelled by Mayweather’s financial problems

UFC icon Joe Rogan believes Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao 2 is solely fuelled by Mayweather’s need for money.

This past week, boxing icon Floyd Mayweather announced that he can be coming out of skilled boxing retirement in 2026.

Not long after, Netflix surprisingly announced that Mayweather might be coming out of retirement to compete in a rematch against Manny Pacquiao.

The rematch will happen from the Sphere in Las Vegas on September 19, and ‘Money’ Mayweather’s 50-0 skilled record might be on the road.

And although lots of the combat sports world is worked up by the rematch 11 years within the making, combat sports icon, Joe Rogan, has explained his skepticism.

Joe Rogan believes Mayweather vs Pacquiao 2 is fuelled by Floyd’s money issues

When the 2 clashed in 2015, their fight turned out to be probably the most successful combat sports fight of all time, breaking pay-per-view records together with gate records.

Not way back, reports surfaced that Mayweather faces court battles over bounced checks regarding unpaid rent and damages on a leased Manhattan penthouse value $24 million.

During his profession, ‘Money’ Mayweather hasn’t made his lavish lifestyle a secret, and he has flaunted it at every opportunity.

And that’s the reason the UFC commentator, Rogan, is skeptical about him coming out of retirement to face Pacquiao, labeling it as ‘crazy’.

“Now they’re gonna do it again they usually’re each 50, it’s crazy,” Rogan said in his recent podcast.

“Yeah, I’m gonna watch it, f— yeah I’m gonna watch it. I’m gonna watch him fighting Mike (Tyson), I feel that’s crazy,” Rogan continued.

Prior to announcing his return to skilled boxing, Mayweather and Mike Tyson agreed to an exhibition boxing fight to happen within the Congo, but there isn’t a set date for that yet.

“Have a look at Floyd, Floyd spends money prefer it’s a faucet, like he’s got a faucet with a vast sum of money and whilst much money as he’s made in his profession, which he’s probably made as much, if not greater than any boxer ever, there’s all these lawsuits.

“He hasn’t been paying things and he owes money on this and owes money on that and it’s like, now he’s got to return out of retirement.”

Mayweather attempted to preserve his undefeated skilled record

Despite the undeniable fact that the 49-year-old is coming out of skilled retirement for this fight, his decision didn’t come without convincing.

Originally, Mayweather was attempting to place together an exhibition fight against Pacquiao, but ‘PacMan’ rejected the offer.

The 47-year-old’s reason for rejecting the exhibition offer is because he desires to ‘haunt’ Mayweather by being his only ever loss.
