That one was very painful, after which I needed to do like 15 more minutes of wrestling after that.”

The indie event during which Statlander took the powerbomb in query stays unclear. Her mention of a bed of nails, nevertheless, references a kick from Marina Shafir that sent Statlander crashing through a nail bed in All Elite Wrestling’s first-ever Women’s Blood and Guts match. Shafir went on to secure the win for her team by cinching in a choke hold on Mina Shirakawa while Megan Bayne whipped the Japanese star with the TBS Championship belt. Seeing this, Toni Storm then verbally surrendered as The Triangle of Madness held her back.

I passed out for real in the course of my match, but then I got here back to straight away,” Statlander said. “It was weird if you happen to’ve never been you realize choked out before. It was a weird almost such as you’re falling asleep, but you are type of aware of every little thing. Then I got here back to and every little thing type of slowly got here back like a reverse fade to black principally. After which I used to be like, alright, let’s go, I can not be in here anymore.”

The moment in reference occurred after Storm escaped Statlander’s submission hold, then applied her own TCM Chickenwing. While trapped in Storm’s hold, Statlander looked as if it would struggle to maneuver her body toward the ropes. Eventually, she managed to settle her foot onto the underside rope to interrupt it.
