Air strikes have killed no less than 85 students at a girls’ school in Iran, in response to Tehran’s government.
Minab Girl’s Primary School was struck within the southern province of Hormozgan was struck by Israeli forces this morning as Trump launched his ‘combat military operation’.
Nearly all of the victims are aged between seven and 12 years old.
Local officials attributed the air strike to Israeli forces, Sky News reported.
Ateacher told the varsity she saw bodies on classroom benches.
She told Middle East Eye: ‘I felt like I had gone mute. I couldn’t speak. You possibly can hear the sound of kids crying and screaming.’
Footage shows residents digging through the rubble of the varsity, which had around 170 students inside on the time of the strike.
‘In today’s attacks by the Zionist regime on Minab city, a girls’ elementary school was targeted and to date 5 students have been martyred’, one official said.
Iran’s state-run IRNA news agency claimed the death toll was far higher, with greater than 40 killed at the varsity.
It said one other 45 were left wounded within the attack, with no further details in regards to the injuries.
The town of Minab is regarded as the location of a base for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
In a speech this morning, Donald Trump warned the military organisation to put down its arms or ‘face certain death’.
The US president said he would ‘raze’ Iran’s military sites to the bottom while calling on Iranian residents to topple the Ali Khamenei’s government.
The IDF said it had conducted strikes on various targets in western Iran as a part of the joint Operation Roaring Lion with US forces.

In his speech, Trump told Iranians to remain sheltered while the operation continued, after which they’d have a probability to ‘take over the federal government’.
Satellite imagery appeared to indicate that supreme leader Ali Khamenei’s home in Tehran had been entirely destroyed in an airstrike, the Latest York Times reported.

The Ayatollah was not thought to have been within the capital in the course of the attack, having been moved to a ‘secure location’. He has not been seen in public for several days.
Several senior commanders in Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and political officials have been killed, officials have said.
Airstrikes have also been reported in several other countries, including at a US air base in Bahrain.
Loud booms and blasts were heard within the UAE, including within the capital Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
Flights were suspended from each cities, that are hubs for gulf carriers Etihad and Emirates, in addition to at Doha airport, the house of Qatar Airways.
