For Sagar, Holi is rather more than simply splashing colors. He believes the festival carries a deeper emotional meaning. “I believe Holi to me is about renewal, beyond the colors and festivities. It symbolises letting go of negativity, grudges and limitations. It’s a reminder that life ought to be celebrated with openness and equality. Sagar On Fond Holi Memories
When asked about his most unforgettable childhood Holi memory, Sagar smiled while recalling his mischievous days. “A few of my, I believe, fondest memories are from waking up early to filling buckets and water balloons before my friends were even ready. And I believe planning, you recognize, playful surprise attacks on visitors within the society compound and all the pieces. Troubling quite a lot of neighbours and passers-by. Yet one more memory is that after we used to come back back home completely drenched in colors, barely recognisable and seeing my family laugh on the mess. Those moments still make me smile. It was easy, carefree happiness, and I believe it carried quite a lot of emotional depth for me because today I still remember quite a lot of Holi instances as fresh as ever.”
Despite his busy schedule, there may be one tradition Sagar never skips. “Irrespective of how busy life is, I at all times begin Holi by applying just a little color to my parents’ feet in the event that they are around me, or video call them and take their blessings. It keeps me grounded and jogs my memory that festivals are about gratitude and togetherness first, after which celebration. Sagar Parekh On How He Celebrates Holi
Talking about how he celebrates now, he added, “I believe I definitely enjoy full-on celebrations, but since I’m into acting and all the pieces, and the schedule is such that I cannot use pakka colors. So, gulaals are my latest thing, and a few water, some music and your entire festival vibe is all about, you recognize, having good food. But yeah, I also imagine in being mindful and respectful, ensuring everybody and everybody around is comfortable and celebrating responsibly.”
Reflecting on how Holi has modified through the years, Sagar noted, “Holi today is more conscious and aware. Growing up, it was all about, you recognize, fun without much thought. It was very carefree. Now there’s greater emphasis on eco-friendly colors, respecting boundaries and responsible celebrations. Social media has also modified the dynamic; we just don’t live within the moment, we share it now, on our social media platforms, especially Instagram. But, I believe the core emotion stays the identical joy, unity, and you recognize, reconnecting with our inner child.”
