Nick Knight advises India to make use of Varun Chakravarthy against Harry Brook. Despite a dip within the Super 8s, Chakravarthy remains to be an important bowler for India.

Former England opener Nick Knight has said that as soon as Harry Brook comes into bat, the Indian team would look to place Varun Chakravarthy on, adding that although there may be a transparent matchup, the latter may have to be a bit of unpredictable to make sure he can trouble England batters.
Chakravarthy began the T20 World Cup well, claiming 12 wickets within the group stage, but his impact dipped within the Super 8s, starting with the 76-run loss to South Africa.
Chakravarthy returned figures of 1/47 on the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, his third-most expensive spell in T20Is. He struggled to make an impact in the subsequent two matches as well, ending with 1/35 against Zimbabwe and 1/40 against the West Indies.
“It should be difficult. As soon as Brook comes into bat, I’d put Chakravarthy on, regardless of the stage of the match. In the intervening time, he’s bowling just a few too many googlies; it has develop into a bit of too predictable,” Knight said while talking to The Indian Express.
“He (Chakravarthy) might just must add a bit of more variety quite than bowling more googlies than ever before. But he’s a high-class bowler and can be a potent force for India,” Knight added.
England are Chakravarthy’s second-favourite opposition after South Africa. He has enjoyed success against Brook & Co., claiming 14 wickets in only five games at an economy rate of seven.66.
Chakravarthy was among the many Indian cricketers who attended the optional training session on the eve of the sport, where he was seen fine-tuning his skills with bowling coach Morne Morkel and fielding coach T Dilip.
India’s batting has been a significant concern for the team management throughout the campaign. With their left-heavy top order targeted by off-spinners, the hosts were compelled to rethink and alter their team combination.
