Despite it turning out to be only a teaser ahead of the rapper’s official music video for his recent single, “Highly,” the timeline remains to be talking. Nique has since returned to the web to handle the backlash she received after the clip began circulating.
Nique Addresses The Hate Comments After Viral NBA YoungBoy Link-Up
Nique took to her YouTube channel to release a video titled, “He Sent Me A Jet … The Aftermath,” where she opened up in regards to the hate-filled DMs and negative comments she received after people assumed she was messing with NBA YoungBoy, who’s also the ex of her former friend Jania Meshell.
Within the video, she starts off by saying, “All of these items was allegations on me, and as an alternative of individuals really taking the time to let it play out, I feel like everybody just began attacking my looks. Like impulsively, I’m just the ugliest person on the planet. I appear like a person, I got a protracted chin, I got all these bad things about my face… I’m just the ugliest, slimiest b* on the planet. Thank God I do know who I’m because tens of millions of individuals were telling me how terrible I look.” She added, “I had every kind of men in my DMs telling me to kill myself. I even had grandmas and fully grown men telling me how disgusting I used to be.”
Nique went on to encourage viewers to stay confident in themselves despite online criticism. She shared, “This is de facto essential so that you can be confident inside yourself and know that you just’re beautiful regardless of how many individuals in the entire world are against you. When you know who you’re and end up beautiful, then that’s all that matters… I feel like I’m damned if I do and damned if I don’t. Thank God I believe I’m beautiful, and thank God I’m confident inside myself.” She explained that the situation showed her how quickly people were able to hate on her, noting how briskly some switched up and assumed the worst with none real evidence.
