Andy Dick is opening up concerning the apparent overdose he suffered late last yr.
The comedian, 60, appeared on the Tuesday, March 4, episode of the “Howie Mandel Does Stuff” podcast and revealed that he didn’t remember anything concerning the incident except “waking up within the ambulance.”
“You were dead. Were you dead?” host Howie Mandel asked Dick. “Did your heart stop? Like legitimately, clinically dead?”
Dick replied, “Yeah,” confirming that his heart stopped, he turned “purple” and he was “not respiration.”
The NewsRadio alum went on to say that he didn’t know what substance caused the response and didn’t know who’d given it to him. At that time, Adam Carbone, one other man within the podcast studio, explained that the one who gave Dick “the drug” also had NARCAN on him. In January, Dick said that he had checked out of rehab and moved right into a sober-living facility, telling TMZ that he was “taking things at some point at a time and staying focused on sobriety” as he starts the following phase of his life.
