Major Update – Was The Road Dogg Fired From WWE Or Did He Quit?

Pwinsider has clarified the circumstances surrounding the departure of WWE Hall of Famer Brian “Road Dogg” James from WWE, pushing back on reports that his exit was a part of a “creative readjustment.” That characterization is inaccurate.

As we reported earlier today here on eWn, James resigned from the corporate earlier today, doing so in person at WWE headquarters in Stamford, CT. Sources inside WWE indicated that James openly expressed his dissatisfaction before formally submitting his resignation from the creative team.

The departure was not the results of WWE releasing him or removing him from his position. As an alternative, the choice got here directly from James himself. And that call got here in the course of the late morning hours today after several creative meetings. He has openly been frustrated with creative for quite a while now.

Some fans are also wondering about his scheduled meet-and-greet appearances at WWE World during WrestleMania 42 weekend in Las Vegas, NV. James stays under a WWE Legends contract, which is separate from his creative role with the corporate. Due to that agreement, it’s still possible that he’ll appear for those previously advertised appearances.
