Former Pakistan pace bowler Mohammad Amir made one other daring prediction about Team India’s T20 World Cup campaign as well. Amir, who had supported West Indies to beat India within the Super 8 match, has now said that England has the upper hand against India within the semi-final on Thursday.
“It’s a match on wicket. Like Rashid Bhai said, if England bat second, there might be more possibilities. Since it’s a high-scoring game in Mumbai,” he said on the Haarna Mana Hai show.
‘In the event you have a look at their overall batting, it is just not in form’ – Mohammad Amir on Team India
With the likes of Ishan Kishan and Sanju Samson performing only in fewer games, Amir doesn’t feel Team India are able to sail into the ultimate yet. Meanwhile, the shape of Abhishek Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav can be a priority for India as well.
“But should you discuss India, just one or two of their batters are performing. That batter often takes all of it the way in which, but just one or two are capable of perform. In the event you have a look at their overall batting, it is just not in form. Ishan Kishan only performed against us. Abhishek Sharma is out of shape. Tilak Verma didn’t make an impact. Suryakumar Yadav has done nothing since he got here into the Super 8s. Sanju has done it. Bumrah is doing it,” he said.
“You can not make certain that this team will dominate. I believe England might be the favourites,” Mohammad Amir concluded.
