Rep Calls Britney Spears’ DUI Arrest ‘Inexcusable’

Britney Spears’ recent DUI arrest has led to her representative speaking out and slamming the pop star’s reckless behavior.

Following the news of Spears’ arrest, those closest to her have shared their extreme concern and the necessity for the singer to hunt help that is claimed to be long “overdue.”

Per PEOPLE, a rep for Britney Spears spoke out via a press release regarding the pop star’s March 4 arrest on suspicion of DUI. “This was an unlucky incident that is totally inexcusable,” the rep said.

The statement continued, sharing Spears’ need to alter her lifestyle has been “overdue” for quite a while.

“Britney goes to take the suitable steps and comply with the law and hopefully this may be step one in long overdue change that should occur in Britney’s life,” the rep added. “Hopefully, she will get the assistance and support she needs during this difficult time.”

“Her boys are going to be spending time along with her,” the statement said, referring to Spears’ two sons, Preston, 20, and Jayden, 19. “Her family members are going to provide you with an overdue needed plan to set her up for achievement for well being.”

In accordance with TMZ, on Wednesday, March 4, Britney Spears was arrested and brought into custody in Ventura County, California, for suspicion of DUI.

She was arrested at 9:30 p.m. local time but was released within the early hours of March 5, per inmate records from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department.

Following her release from custody, Spears deactivated her Instagram account, where she is continuously known for posting eyebrow-raising dance videos.

Britney Spears was recently granted a everlasting restraining order against a person who showed up at her home in 2025 after allegedly sharing “disturbing social media posts.”

In accordance with court documents obtained by TMZ, the person, only identified as Donald, was spotted by Spears’ security guard, who promptly called the sheriff’s department.

Once local deputies arrived on the scene, they found the person smoking cigarettes and took him into custody. He also “exhibited odd behavior and made several incoherent comments” during his arrest.
