Joe Rogan explains why Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao 2 is different than most comeback fights

Joe Rogan can’t wait to look at Floyd Mayweather’s rematch with Manny Pacquiao later this 12 months.

The boxing legends got here together to placed on the largest boxing event of all time in May 2015.

11 years later, Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao will run it back on the Las Vegas Sphere on September 19.

Joe Rogan: Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao are still high-level

Joe Rogan normally hates it when aging legends resolve to return to the ring for comeback fights.

Nonetheless, the UFC commentator has no problem with Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao rematching as grandfathers 11 years later.

The 58-year-old explained his stance during a podcast with boxing superstar Shakur Stevenson.

“The one fight between guys who retired and got here back that I’m still excited by seeing is him and Manny,” Rogan said, I do know they’re gonna do this on Netflix. I feel that’s still a high-level fight, that’s what I like about it.

“I feel Manny remains to be a high-level fighter. Floyd, even in these exhibitions he’s been doing, he looks great.

“You see him in sparring? Good lord, man, it doesn’t seem like he’s lost a step. Although he’s not the Floyd who fought Canelo or Ricky Hatton, it’s not that much different because he’s not drinking, f—ing his body up, not doing anything silly, he stays in shape and eats right.”

Floyd Mayweather has 3 fights booked for 2026

Floyd Mayweather must get through two other opponents before fighting Manny Pacquiao.

First up, the 46-year-old will face heavyweight boxing legend Mike Tyson in an exhibition.

They were imagined to clash within the Democratic Republic of Congo on April 25, but in response to reports, Mayweather vs Tyson will now happen at a later, to be confirmed, date.

Earlier this week, Mayweather confirmed he’d take one other exhibition bout after facing ‘Iron Mike’.

The kickboxer Mike Zambidis shall be his opponent on the Telekom Center, Athens, Greece, on June 27.

After that fight, Mayweather will officially end his nine-year retirement and return to the skilled ranks.

Pacquiao shall be the five-weight world champion’s first proper opponent since he TKO’d UFC superstar Conor McGregor and retired with an ideal 50-0 record in August 2017.
