One other Xbox first-party title goes multiplatform, as South of Midnight launches on PlayStation 5 and Switch 2 on March 31, 2026. In making the announcement, developer Compulsion Games shared a Critical Acclaim Trailer for South of Midnight, highlighting a number of the game’s awards from 2025. I reviewed Hazel’s experience when it launched last 12 months and located its bland combat weighing down the complete experience. It was such a frustrating game to review, because South of Midnight’s characters, voice acting, soundtrack, and storytelling were great. It’s just those actual pesky gameplay moments that basically hurt it.
It’s also a reasonably short experience, clocking in at around 10 hours. Much of the sport is your standard motion platformer, with combat sprinkled throughout in enclosed arenas. Some segments are absolutely gorgeous, though, and the unique art style made it a feast for the eyes.
