Team India Postpone T20 World Cup Semi-final Practice Due To Lunar Eclipse

Team India are all set to play England within the T20 World Cup semi-final on the Wankhede Stadium on Thursday. Ahead of the much-awaited match, Team India has two essential days to arrange for the massive clash as well.

Nonetheless, on Tuesday, the team delayed their rehearsal on the Wankhede Stadium as a result of the Lunar Eclipse. The session was pushed by an hour after initially being slated to begin at 6 pm IST as well.

As per reports, players felt it was inauspicious to practice before 6:47 pm IST as well. The players and support staff have been following many rituals throughout the World Cup, including temple visits etc. Among the players, including captain Suryakumar Yadav, Abhishek Sharma, and coach Gautam Gambhir, visited temples in lots of places as well.

Nonetheless, a much-awaited clash will once more take centre stage as India and England tackle one another within the second semi-final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 on the famous Wankhede Stadium.

Nonetheless, that is the third consecutive edition where they’ve faced one another within the semi-final after 2022 and 2024.
