Max Holloway has several options following UFC 326 loss but one stands out probably the most

Despite losing his BMF title at UFC 326, there are still several options for Max Holloway’s next fight.

This past Saturday within the UFC 326 predominant event, Max Holloway lost his BMF title after being dominated by Charles Oliveira for five rounds.

‘Do Bronx’ has potentially put himself in line of fighting for the undisputed lightweight title next, especially as rumors proceed to surface that Ilia Topuria could move as much as 170lbs within the near future.

Holloway however, will return to the drafting board and can once more look to bounce back from a disappointing loss.

Max Holloway has loads of options for his next fight

Since moving as much as lightweight full-time, the Hawaiian has fought 4 times, winning twice while suffering two defeats.

Despite that, following his loss to the Brazilian, Holloway made it clear that he shouldn’t be done yet and he’ll return to the cage once more.

Fortunately for him, although his stock did take a bit of little bit of a success, there are still several options for the 34-year-old within the 155lb division.

Holloway is ranked number 4 within the division, and he isn’t expected to fall down the rankings within the upcoming update.

In a single spot below him is Benoit Saint-Denis, who has proved he’s a future contender within the division after scoring 4 impressive finishes in a row since being beaten by Renato Moicano.

‘God of War’ has earned one other big fight, and a win over Holloway could push him directly into title contention, which is what the division needs.

The aforementioned ‘Hangman’ Hooker could also pose as a smart option for Holloway next, as it will likely be a arise affair, and could be an especially exciting fight for the fans.

Nevertheless, the choice that makes probably the most sense for my part, is a fight against Paddy ‘The Baddy’ Pimblett.

Yes, Pimblett is coming off the back of a fairly dominant loss against Justin Gaethje, who Holloway dominated, but this looks like a fight that may really tell us where Pimblett is at.

Not only is ‘The Baddy’ immensely popular within the UK, but he also proved that he has a component to play in the brand new age of violence, and that’s what Holloway brings best.

Some fans, though, proceed to call for a rematch between ‘Blessed’ and Conor McGregor, who continues to gear up for a possible return.

That fight, though, looks like a disaster for ‘The Notorious’ to return back to, and doesn’t make as much sense as Holloway vs Pimblett.
