Indian batting sensation Smriti Mandhana has held onto her top position in the most recent women’s ODI batting rankings, unveiled on Tuesday. Mandhana has been joined by her captain, Harmanpreet Kaur, who stays regular at eighth place.
Nonetheless, Jemimah Rodrigues has slipped out of the highest 10 rating. She now stands twelfth following India’s 0-3 defeat against Australia of their recent three-match ODI series.
Meanwhile, Latest Zealand’s leading white-ball players have gained significant ground in the most recent update.
The White Ferns have been in exceptional form on home turf, securing a 2-0 lead of their three-match ODI series against Zimbabwe. Leading the charge is newly-appointed captain Melie Kerr. She took 4 wickets within the series opener and followed up with an exceptional seven-wicket haul within the second match in Dunedin, becoming one among only seven players to realize this feat in a women’s ODI.
Kerr’s outstanding performance has propelled her up five places to eleventh within the ODI bowlers’ rankings, and he or she also moved up one spot to fifth amongst ODI all-rounders.
Meanwhile, Brooke Halliday (up eight places to eleventh) and Maddy Green (up 4 spots to twenty second) made significant moves within the ODI batting charts following their recent exploits.
Halliday played a remarkable innings of 157* off just 117 balls within the series opener, while Green scored 67 in the identical game, followed by an unbeaten 27* within the second match.
Changes are also evident in the most recent T20I rankings following the conclusion of the West Indies’ three-match series at home against Sri Lanka, just months ahead of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in England and Wales.
Left-hander Hasini Perera’s unbeaten half-century helped Sri Lanka secure the series win within the third game at St George’s, earning her an increase of 15 places to twenty eighth within the T20I batters’ rankings.
Inexperienced right-hander Imesha Dulani (up 17 places to 72nd) has also improved her position amongst T20I batters after an unbeaten 34* within the series finale. Teammate Kavisha Dilhari made gains within the T20I bowlers’ (up three spots to twenty first) and all-rounders’ (up two places to eleventh) rankings.
For the West Indies, veteran spinner Afy Fletcher climbed 4 places to seventh overall within the T20I bowlers’ list after taking three wickets within the last two games of the series against Sri Lanka.
