Dave Pagnotta: “No, I believed they were going to maneuver out more pieces. It seemed like it was going and entering the week that it was going to be a foregone conclusion that Conor Garland got moved, gets moved, and that turned out to be true.

NHL Rumors: Jeff Skinner, San Jose Sharks, and the Vancouver Canucks

I believed they were going to maneuver out more guys. Teddy Blueger. There was numerous interest. They held on to him. They like him there, so that they’re going to attempt to, they’re going to speak contract extension with Blueger sooner or later here, now that the deadline is completed.

Drew O’Connor generated a ton of interest. Evander Kane, things really slowed down on Kane. They tried to make that occur. They were willing to retain half of his contract, and it didn’t get there.

I didn’t think anything was close on Brock Boeser, and I wouldn’t be shocked if that is still the case for some time, nevertheless it looks like Jake DeBrusk wants out, and that’s something to maintain tabs on this summer as well. There’s gonna be more activity this summer of course.”

Peter Berce: “Get to this before we hit the break. The goaltending position in Minnesota. Pretty stacked. Did (Bill) Guerin ever or were other teams attempting to pry away (Jesper Wallstedt) from Minnesota? And if that was the case, was the asking price so high that it just wasn’t going to satisfy the asking price, at the very least for Bill Guerin?”

Dave Pagnotta: “Yeah, I don’t think anything got super close on that end. In the event that they were going to make a move, the Wild were for a top-six calibre guy. And possibly this was for the middle position. Possibly this was them, trying to take a look at the middle position and getting a legit 2C, because we all know they were in on Vincent Trocheck. After which they were out since it didn’t occur.

NHL Rumors: Rangers, Trocheck, Schmaltz, Hurricanes, and a Trade Got here In Too Late

After which teams weren’t willing to satisfy regardless of the price was of the Recent York Rangers. And Minny made a proposal for him slightly while ago. After which just maintain that line of communication because the Rangers tried to see in the event that they can beat it, they usually just didn’t feel comfortable moving Trocheck in any respect.

So anyway, that being said, I feel that’s something they’ll explore in the summertime, because they’ve got, some really, really good pieces on this team. They got (Filip) Gustavsson in net. There’s a chance for them to maneuver Wallstedt in the summertime. By all accounts, are going to explore.”
