AEW Revolution is barely days away, and the AEW Men’s World Championship match between MJF and “Hangman” Adam Page continues to loom large. Not only will or not it’s a Texas Death Match, but Page has vowed to never challenge for the AEW World Title again should he lose, adding an additional stake to the match, and many shocked reactions, as fans try to determine what AEW looks like if the previous two-time Champion cannot challenge for the belt.
They are not the one ones, as AEW’s Jeff Jarrett has also been left stunned by the stipulations of this match. On the most recent “My World,” Double J tried to make sense of all of it, before ultimately concluding that some type of left field development would occur to offer an ending as shocking as Page’s stipulation.
“Conrad, I used to be shocked, literally shocked, after they got here out with this stip,” Jarrett said. “‘Hangman’ is, I imagine, the face of the corporate in so some ways that he just form of…he isn’t just my guy, he’s our guy. But I do not see MJF dropping the title…this early in his reign. I believe if you drill it right down, the mindset, and I wish DraftKings and Steve Buchanan were here to offer us some insight on this, it’s form of why we do that industry, because you’ll be able to’t call it. You do not know who’s going to win…and all that.
“But again…it is really easy for me to say ‘They are not backing themselves in a corner, ‘Hangman’s’ winning.’ But I’ll exit on a limb and go ‘There is a curveball coming.’ MJF wins. That is a hell of a, not only stipulation reason for the Texas Death Match, it should be very interesting to see how this plays out. But I’m going to select…MJF is a hell of a talent. And on a roll, on a roll’s roll. I’m going with MJF.”
