Miles Heizer will always remember his Braverman family.
“Parenthood is the place that I met my true, lifelong, closest best friends,” Heizer, 31, exclusively shared with Us Weekly while attending the 14th Annual Queerties Awards on Tuesday, March 10. “Mae Whitman and Lauren Graham, who played our little family unit, are still very close. I see Mae always. I lived with Mae. It’s, like, such a formative experience for me and just by far the most dear thing that ever happened in my life.”
For six seasons, Heizer played Drew Holt on NBC’s beloved TV series Parenthood. Every week, viewers followed the Braverman clan, which consisted of a pair, their 4 children and their prolonged families.
Although Heizer has moved on to other projects, including a job within the Netflix series Boots — which won Best TV Comedy on the Queerties Awards — the actor wouldn’t say no to a possible Parenthood reunion in the long run.
“I’m truly, like, I need the Parenthood reunion. I’ll say it. I need the reboot,” he told Us at The Avalon Hollywood. “I’m pushing it. I’ll try to begin it, but I haven’t heard anything.”
Back in 2023, creator Jason Katims admitted that he’s been eager about ways to bring the Braverman family back together.
“It’s interesting, I believe it’s attending to be like enough time has passed where you may really have a look at the subsequent generation,” he told E! News on the time. “I’m so curious to see where Max [played by Max Burkholder] is and Amber [Whitman] and so a lot of these people, like Drew [Heizer].”
Sam Jaeger, who played Joel Graham on the fan-favorite series, previously expressed his interest in a reunion. The one caveat to his potential involvement? The script would must be perfect.
“I need to guard what’s there,” he told People in April 2025 of the series. “But at the identical time, parenting has modified a lot since we finished that show. And so I believe it’d be interesting to revisit that aspect of it.”
For now, Heizer is having fun with the unofficial title of uncle to Whitman’s real-life son.
In August 2024, Whitman — who played Drew’s sister, Amber Holt, on Parenthood — announced the arrival of her first child named Miles.
“I used to be very shocked and honored and scared and overwhelmed,” Heizer said in response to the name. “It’s truly the kindest thing anyone could ever do, and I actually have fear that I don’t deserve it, but I’m so flattered.”
