Wayne Rooney makes Tottenham relegation prediction ahead of Liverpool vs Spurs | Football

Wayne Rooney believes Tottenham might be relegated no matter whether or not they sack Igor Tudor (Stick To Football)

Wayne Rooney believes Tottenham might be relegated from the Premier League this season and has urged Robbie Keane to not take the job at Spurs.

Igor Tudor suffered his fourth defeat in command of Spurs this week as his side were beaten 5-2 by Atletico Madrid within the Champions League.

Spurs now turn their attention to the Premier League where they sit just a degree above the relegation zone and play Liverpool at Anfield this Sunday.

Tudor’s position as interim manager is already under scrutiny but Rooney believes Spurs might be relegated from the Premier League this season, no matter whether or not they sack the Croatian.

‘The players need to have a look at themselves because I feel they’ve been an absolute disgrace,’ Rooney said on Follow Football.

‘The performances, the attitude, the dearth of desire, the dearth of fight and there’s a scarcity of every thing in them.

‘Last week I didn’t but after seeing what’s happened within the last couple of games I feel they’ll go down.’

Gary Neville added: ‘I don’t think they’ll go down. I feel if you happen to’re going to make one other change that, for me, probably must be today or tomorrow since you don’t wait.

‘My view is they’ll make a change and stay awake just. That’s what I feel will occur.’

Rooney replied: ‘I feel they’ll go down.

‘That’s what I’m saying, if I’m Robbie Keane I wouldn’t leave a job to enter Tottenham now.

‘If it was Sherwood or whoever who’s out of a job I’d go in, but when I’m Robbie Keane there’s no way I’d leave a job to enter Tottenham.’

Neville then said: ‘I don’t think that group of players will buy into the thought of bringing someone in who’s not been a coach for a very long time simply because they used to play for the club. They’ll just see all the way through that. It’ll need to be someone who’s been coaching recently.

‘Sean Dyche would take that job now, 100 per cent. To be in the sport and have a probability to administer a top-six team, I do know they’re not in the meanwhile, I comprehend it’s ridiculous saying that, but they’re an enormous club.

‘Tudor’s tried to go in a bit harder, be a bit more regimented and disciplined. It’s not working, they’re 100 per cent rejecting him. They are going to need someone to go in who’s got more of a man-management ability.’
