Teyana Taylor has addressed the viral footage showing her confronting a security guard on the 2026 Oscars.
“Security was just doing rather a lot. … There’s at all times that one,” Taylor, 35, told TMZ in an interview published on Monday, March 16.
The interview got here hours after a video, which circulated via social media, showed the One Battle After One other actress in a heated confrontation with someone off camera just after the 98th Academy Awards ended on Sunday, March 15.
“You’re a person putting your hands on a female,” she told the person. “You’re very rude.”
As someone tried to tug Taylor away from the situation, she turned to a different person behind her and said, “He put his hands on a female. … He literally shoved me. … Don’t touch me.”
Taylor told TMZ of the incident, “I just don’t tolerate disrespect — especially when it’s unwarranted and it’s unprovoked.”
The altercation got here shortly after One Battle After One other won Best Picture on the Oscars.
“My heart is exploding with gratitude,” producer Sara Murphy said while accepting the award on the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, while director Paul Thomas Anderson gave shout-outs to Taylor and her costars Leonardo DiCaprio, Benicio del Toro, Regina Hall and Chase Infiniti.
“What an evening,” he concluded. “Let’s have a martini. Cheers!”
One Battle After One other took home five other awards on Sunday: Best Directing, Best Casting, Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Sean Penn), Best Editing and Best Writing (Adapted Screenplay).

Ahead of the ceremony, Taylor walked the red carpet in a black dress with a sheer mesh panel on the waist and white feather fringe down an extended skirt. She paired the stunning gown with a silver statement necklace and matching earrings.
Taylor teased her ensemble in an interview with Access Hollywood on Tuesday, March 10.
“In Paris was my second fitting. My very first fitting was last week, nevertheless it was just, like, the pattern. We were finding her,” she said. “I can’t say who it was with yet, but attending to Paris and seeing that dress, oh, my God. Oh, I used to be rattling near in tears. I used to be like, ‘Oh, that is crazy.’”
