Young batting prodigy Vaibhav Sooryavanshi now wishes to win the Indian Premier League title for Rajasthan Royals within the upcoming season. Sooyavanshi made headlines within the IPL 2025 by becoming the tournament’s youngest centurion, and earlier this yr, his 80-ball 175-run knock in the ultimate against England helped India to a record-extending sixth U-19 World Cup title in Harare as well.

“The goal this IPL season is to win the trophy for the team, because it is an important thing. I need to do well, and my performance will help the entire team. That is my goal — to contribute to RR’s wins and win the trophy for the franchise,” Sooryavanshi told broadcaster Star Sports on the sidelines of the BCCI Naman Awards on Sunday as well.

Known for his swashbuckling batting, Sooryavanshi met his World Cup-winning teammates on the awards function as well.

“(It) feels very nice. Won a trophy as well for India on the World Cup. For this reason award ceremony, feeling nice to satisfy my teammates and coaches again here,” the teenager sensation said.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi also became the youngest player to sign an IPL contract when Rajasthan Royals bought the then 13-year-old in 2024 for Rs 1.1 crore.

“After I made my domestic debut, RR had been maintaining a tally of me during my domestic and Under-19 games. Their scouting team had been maintaining a tally of me for a very long time. I felt that I could go to RR because my trial with them had gone thoroughly,” he said. “I’m pleased to be with RR, as I even have improved loads too in my life while playing for them.”

“For any teenager, the primary IPL camp is all the time interesting and it was the identical for me too. Rahul (Dravid) sir was there at the moment, so I got to learn loads from him. There have been a variety of senior players within the team, and I had a great learning experience from them through the first camp in addition to the primary IPL,” he said.
