Joe Rogan explains how he helped Jon Jones counter why Dana White said he retired

Jon Jones received some assistance from Joe Rogan when taking steps to organize for his comeback.

In the long run, this didn’t end in him getting a spot on the White House card in June, with Dana White addressing Jones’ absence following the announcement.

The UFC president said that this selection wasn’t “remotely” in his mind and that Jones is retired due to the condition of his hip.

Jones didn’t intend on revealing his arthritis diagnosis but a clip of him openly talking about his health issues was posted online, which he knew he’d need to handle before fighting again.

Jon Jones reached out to Joe Rogan to get stem cell treatment on his hip ahead of planned return

Earlier this month, Jon Jones called for his UFC release in a post on social media where he made reference to Dana White saying that he retired resulting from his hip.

‘Bones’ wrote that while it’s painful, it wouldn’t prevent him from fighting and he’d already passed through stem cell treatment to assist his preparations for an Octagon return.

Joe Rogan recently revealed that he played a component on this after being a giant advocate for the advantages of stem cell treatments on countless occasions.

“He doesn’t need to be done,” he said on the JRE MMA Show #176. “I do know he got stem cells on his hip. I do know because I helped him get it… He’s talked about it. I wouldn’t have talked about it but he talked about it. He got it at Ways2Well. So he’s feeling rather a lot higher. He does have arthritis in his hip. It bothers him, nevertheless it doesn’t hassle him enough where he can’t fight.”

It seems highly unlikely that the UFC will grant him his release after he called for it following his cancelled plans to fight in June.

Most Beneficial Promotion’s Nakisa Bidarian supported Jones when writing on social media, “UFC should release Jon Jones. He’s done. Bad hip. Let him go make a number of dollars some other place together with his bad hip.”

While the fight is probably not next for him, Alex Pereira remains to be optimistic about facing Jones because he knows the legend of the game isn’t going anywhere and won’t face anyone else.
