Paul Merson singled out Declan Rice for special praise in Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen, applauding the midfielder’s ‘absolutely outstanding’ performance to assist his side progress to the Champions League quarter-finals.

Chatting with TNT Sports shortly after the ultimate whistle, Rice made sure to provide credit to Leverkusen for giving his Arsenal team ‘a variety of problems’ over the course of the 2 legs.
