Veteran cricketer MS Dhoni was seen fixing his bat with the assistance of an electrical sander during a training session ahead of the upcoming Indian Premier League 2026 season, which is about to start out on March 28 later this month.

Meanwhile, on March 11, the schedule for the opening phase of the Indian Premier League 2026 season was unveiled. Five-time champions Chennai Super Kings will start their campaign with an away clash against Rajasthan Royals on March 30.
They may then host Punjab Kings on April 3 before travelling to face Royal Challengers Bengaluru in an away match on April 5. Their fourth and final match within the schedule released up to now is about against Delhi Capitals in Chennai on April 11.
This season, the side led by Ruturaj Gaikwad shall be trying to bounce back after a disappointing 2025 campaign, where they ended at the underside of the standings with only 4 victories from 14 matches.
