Rapper ‘Blueface’ thought he was getting a routine run-out in Miami tonight ahead of an enormous show in May – but suffered a humiliating defeat as a substitute.
The musician hadn’t boxed since a 2023 knockout of Ed Matthews, at which point he tipped the scales at just 157lb. But after bulking up while serving a sentence in prison for a probation violation stemming from a 2021 battery incident, he returned to the ring a heavyweight on Adin Ross’ show.
He has already booked in a May 2 bout with NBA champion Nick ‘Swaggy P’ Young for the James L. Knight Center in Miami. However the Brand Risk Promotions mainstay Chibu had other plans, and spoiled the party in a significant way.

Blueface vs Chibu result: Rapper loses embarrassing comeback fight
The primary event of Adin Ross’ most aptly-titled ‘Brand Risk’ showcase yet saw the return of Blueface to the ring after three years of inactivity. After holding his own while sparring the likes of Floyd Mayweather and Keyshawn Davis, the rapper was believed to be top-of-the-line influencer boxers on this planet.
Nevertheless, he has packed on considerable mass during his time behind bars, and appears a brand recent man since being released last 12 months. He has at all times been tall, but was once a lean middleweight.
In round one, and throughout, his superior technical skills were on display against Chibu’s more raw power. Nevertheless, there are weight classes for a reason in boxing and even at this level, it may possibly grow to be abundantly clear when someone makes such a drastic jump.
Within the second round, Chibu pushed his rival against the ropes and proceeded to unload to the body. And the force of their interaction saw the rapper knocked out of the ring, even though it was not scored a knockdown by the referee.
From there, it seemed as if if anyone were to be stopped it could be Blueface, and never the little-known Chibu. In the ultimate round, there was even a flurry of punches within the corner that the referee could later be heard saying almost caused her to step in.
Ultimately, the underdog wasn’t made to rue his lack of fitness as he did enough to attain the largest victory of his profession so far on all three scorecards. It stays to be seen what is going to occur to the May 2 event, which is already being heavily promoted with tickets on sale.
