Rick Martel Has Never Been Offered WWE Hall Of Fame Spot, Says Manager

Rick Martel has yet to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, and in line with his manager, has yet to even been called about an induction.

It has been rumored online that Martel has been offered a spot within the Hall of Fame, only to have rejected the offer from WWE.

On a recent edition of the “Wrestling Nostalgia” podcast, Martel’s manager and friend Bertrand Hebert set the record straight.

Based on Hebert, Martel has not rejected a spot within the Hall of Fame and has never even been offered the annual honor.

Hebert added that, if Martel is obtainable a spot, he’ll personally be sure that he accepts the offer, believing Rick to be worthy of the accolade.

Martel did turn down some WrestleMania Axxess signing appearances prior to now, in line with Hebert, but this wasn’t as a result of any alleged anti-WWE stance.

As a substitute, the thought of travelling from Quebec to San Fancicso for a couple of hours of signing, for what Hebert called not lots of money, was not appealing to Martel.

Despite being a mid-card performer in WWE as The Model, Martel had a wider profession, including a reign as AWA World Heavyweight Champion.

This yr’s WWE Hall of Fame class includes Stephanie McMahon, AJ Styles, and Demolition (Ax and Smash). The induction will happen in April 2026.
