Breaking News – Dennis Condrey (Midnight Express) Passes Away

Dennis Condrey has passed away on the age of 74.

A founding member of the unique Midnight Express, Condrey teamed with Bobby Eaton under the guidance of manager Jim Cornette. He was widely considered a trailblazer in tag team wrestling and earned respect throughout the industry for his contributions.

Condrey made his in-ring debut in 1973 and worked across a wide range of territories, including the AWA, NWA, Georgia Championship Wrestling, Mid-South, and Jim Crockett Promotions.

He officially retired from skilled wrestling in 2011.

Within the wake of his passing, Dax Harwood shared a GoFundMe campaign to help with funeral expenses. Harwood wrote,

“Dennis Condrey is one half of the best tag team of all time, The Midnight Express. For years they brought excitement and entertainment to thousands and thousands of individuals. Nonetheless, as great as he was within the ring, it doesn’t hold a candle to the human being he was.

A sweet, God-fearing man who LOVED his wife Theresa. Together with her permission, I’ve opened this Go Fund me to assist with funeral expenses and bills that she now has to tackle her own. She didn’t ask for this. I asked, in his honor, could I do that for him. She allowed me to do that for Dennis & her, but is expecting absolutely nothing but love in return. If Dennis Condrey and the Midnight Express ever brought any amount of joy to your life, and also you’re in a position to help, please do. If not, it’s absolutely okay! Please send all of your thoughts and prayers to Theresa Condrey in her time of need.

God speed, “Loverboy” Dennis Condrey”
