Dana White admitted that Zuffa Boxing has been moving faster than he expected.
The likes of Eddie Hearn haven’t been impressed by the brand new promotion’s output because it launched this yr.
Despite this, White recently signed a deal to bring Zuffa Boxing to Sky Sports within the UK, which was previously the house of Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing.
The UFC president claimed when speaking concerning the partnership that he now expects the promotion to be much further along than he initially believed it might be heading into 2027.

Dana White says Zuffa Boxing might be two years ahead of where he expected by the top of 2026
Dana White has said that his boxing move has been surprisingly easy resulting from the competition that he has faced since launching a brand new promotion.
The UFC president recently told Sky Sports that while their deal is to bring no less than five Zuffa Boxing events to the UK per yr, he expects them to do greater than that.
White went on so as to add that putting on more shows than they originally anticipated looks to be a part of their plans across the board in 2027.
“We’re probably gonna do as many fights next yr because the UFC,” he told Sky Sports. “So, every Sunday, I would like you to remain home. So, whether you come to my live event, you stay at home and watch it with your folks on TV otherwise you watch it in a bar, each time you switch off the TV or leave the world on Sunday, I would like you to say, ‘Wow, I’m glad I got here and saw this event’.”

White has often described the best way other boxing promoters work as a “going out of business sale”, where he intends to present fans events of a consistent quality frequently.
Jai Opetaia defeated Brandon Glanton in Zuffa Boxing’s fourth event on March 8, whereas the UFC had held six cards by that time, including trips to Mexico City and Sydney, Australia.
Matching the UFC’s total of around 43 live events per yr is an enormous ask for the brand new promotion but White is confident that they’re massively ahead of schedule already.
“As we glance into 2027, this thing’s going to be two years ahead of where I expected to be at the top of 2026,” he added. “Now 4 fights in, who knows? I mean, it’s just moving much quicker than I had anticipated.”
