Mohanlal Confirms Leading Priyadarshan’s one hundredth Film

Mohanlal has announced his reunion with director Priyadarshan for the long-lasting filmmaker’s one hundredth film. The actor-director duo has delivered several memorable classics resembling Boeing Boeing, Aram + Aram = Kinnaram, and Kalapani. In an emotional post on social media, Mohanlal expressed his gratitude for the upcoming project and praised Priyadarshan’s contribution to cinema. The film is predicted to start filming later in 2026.

Mohanlal CONFIRMS Reunion With Priyadarshan

Sharing his thoughts online, Mohanlal wrote, “Some milestones should not nearly one person—they belong to everyone who has supported and witnessed the journey. My dearest Priyan is getting into his one hundredth film, and words cannot fully express what meaning to me.”

He further added, “100 movies is greater than a number; it’s a testament to a lifetime of stories told with passion, countless mornings fueled by a belief within the magic of cinema, and an unwavering dedication I’ve been privileged to witness firsthand.”

The film is being produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, with Binu George Alexander as co-producer.

Priyadarshan On His one hundredth Film

In a video shared alongside the announcement, Priyadarshan spoke concerning the emotional significance of collaborating with Mohanlal for his one hundredth film. “My first film, in addition to the primary script I ever wrote, had Mohanlal because the lead. Now, my one hundredth film would also feature Lal within the lead role, which is something rarer than even a blue moon.”

The duo had previously collaborated on Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham (2021), amongst several other iconic movies over time.

Mohanlal, Priyadarshan’s Upcoming Projects

Meanwhile, Mohanlal’s highly anticipated mystery thriller Drishyam 3 may face a delay. Originally scheduled for release on April 2, sources suggest the filmmakers are contemplating postponing the film. It’s attributable to ongoing geopolitical tensions within the Middle East. The film features Meena, Ansiba Hassan, Esther Anil, and Siddique in key roles.

Moreover, Mohanlal is eagerly awaiting the discharge of Patriot, where he stars alongside Mammootty after a protracted hiatus. It is ready to release on April 23.
