Rick Dhaliwal: “You guys had Mitch Marner. You went through the entire thing. Vancouver’s got Elias Pettersson; it never ends. Do you see a scenario this summer where he gets traded?”
Friedman: “You understand, I’ve been on two shows today. I got the Pettersson query on each of them.”
Dhaliwal: “Yeah, you’ve gotten to.”

Friedman: “Yeah. You understand, I feel that. I feel the really big challenge with that Rick, is that, I feel the really big challenge there’s that the Canucks don’t wish to take money.”
Dhaliwal: “Yes. Exactly.”
Friedman: “And, and so they were asked again about it this 12 months, and so they said no. And, you already know, immediately is values down.
So, you already know, I’m not convinced that the offers that they were getting on Pettersson now. Or so far as they went, I don’t know that anything really got too far down the road. But so far as it went, I don’t think they’d be getting the identical offers now on Pettersson that they perhaps would have a 12 months ago or firstly of the 12 months.
I even have little question that when the season’s over, they’ll sit down, they’ll discuss with them again. They’ll see where it’s. However the honest, best answer, Rick might simply be, have an excellent summer, come back. And I mean, if, if everybody really wants to maneuver on, one of the best solution to do it’s for Pettersson to return back, play great. And so they go that way, right?
Because I just heard the one thing I did here is that even some teams that like Pettersson, their offers may not have been as strong because he just hasn’t played well.”
Don Taylor: “You understand, the issue with that Elliotte is that, you already know, from all reports, that they had that conversation last summer.”
Dhaliwal: “Yeah, we went through this last 12 months.”
Friedman: “You understand, but, you already know, I understand that Don. Appear to be I’ve been in situations before where I’m not 100% pleased, where I’ve worked and or I wasn’t pleased with my situation at work. And you already know, you’ve gotten two selections. You possibly can sort of coast through life like that, or you may say, I’m going to do what I can to make it higher.
