Battlefield Hardline Reaches the End of Its Line on Console

One other game is getting the sunset treatment, a minimum of on console. EA announced that Battlefield Hardline will likely be faraway from digital storefronts on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on May 22, meaning you’ll not find a way to buy the sport or any of its DLC on those platforms. Online services for the console versions will shut down a month in a while June 22. Players who already own the sport will still find a way to play the single-player campaign after that date.

This pattern isn’t anything latest, as publishers proceed to cycle older titles off legacy platforms. The excellent news, for those who can call it that, is that the PC version of Battlefield Hardline is unaffected. It can remain available for purchase, and online services on PC will proceed. Battlefield Hardline launched in 2015 as Visceral Games’ cop-themed tackle the Battlefield formula, and while it was divisive amongst franchise fans, it had a dedicated community. When you’ve been intending to revisit it on console, you’ve got about two months to grab it digitally before it’s gone.
