Dave Pagnotta of The Fourth Period was on SiriusXM NHL Network Radio and was asked whether among the trade deadlines that didn’t undergo will likely be rekindled on the NHL Draft or on July 1.

Is that this still a period where you get a bunch of general managers, and do they proceed talks like that? Do they brush up on things? Is there any player transaction type conversations that occur, otherwise you got wind of over the previous couple of days?

Dave Pagnotta: “When it comes to rekindling those discussions that were there leading into the deadline, you begin to listen to a little bit bit more of what type of transpired. And also you start to listen to more names that were bandied about, especially the week of the deadline.

We heard two defensemen, for instance. We heard Darnell Nurse‘s name out of Edmonton. We heard Morgan Rielly’s name out of Toronto. When it comes to names circulating the week of and whatnot. You begin to listen to a little bit bit more of that. But by way of teams getting back to those discussions, it looks as if that’s probably going to be tabled by way of attending to negotiations until afterward within the offseason.
